ABout Benny Quinn

A native of Nashville, Benny grew up working and playing on his grandfather’s farm. Although he spent most of his childhood in rural Nashville, his musical diversity is far from limited to country music.

Throughout his high school career, he played football and baseball eventually attending college on a baseball scholarship. He currently enjoys working with a wide variety of artists and producers, riding his Harley-Davidson, driving his NHRA Top Sportsman race car, and spending time with family and friends.

At “Nashville Record Productions”, Benny was introduced to the mastering business. He was then offered a position as chief mastering engineer and general manager of “The Lacquer Place”. Four years later he moved to “Masterfonics”, and after 24 years of engineering and producing at “Masterfonics” he left in 2006 to start “Benny Quinn Mastering”.

With years of experience, Benny has worked with greats from every genre of music, from Porter Wagoner to Eric Clapton, DC Talk to Aaron Copeland, Cyril Neville to Elvis Presley, Isaac Hayes to Bill Monroe, Lady Antebellum to Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash to Col. Bruce Hampton and the Aquarium Rescue Unit, and Little Big Town to Widespread Panic. With this kind of diversity and experience, he truly puts the mastery into being a master engineer.
